FAQ

What should I expect when booking a sports massage with MSE sports and remedial massage?

We pride ourselves on quality service and want your experience to be the best. We are proud to be 5 Star Rated for sports massage in Nottingham! On your first visit, you will be greeted by the sports massage therapist. You will go through a thorough consultation form, and a full postural and mobility assessment to identify any limitations in movement, stiffness, weakness, or muscular dysfunctions. These results will allow the sports massage therapist to tailor the treatment to your individual needs. It's the only way to get the best results! The sports massage therapist will use a range of techniques that will include deep tissue massage, soft tissue release, trigger pointing and MET stretches to get the best results. When the session has finished you will be given aftercare advice and a stretch programme to help assist with the treatment.

Who will a sports massage benefit?

A sports massage can benefit everyone from the average gym-goer right to the elite athlete. Although, you do not need to be sporty at all to benefit from a sports massage. A sports massage can benefit people who suffer from postural dysfunctions, limited movement, mental conditions (both physical and mental), back and neck pain and much more.

Can sports massage help with chronic medical conditions?

Sports massage can help with some chronic medical conditions like Fibromyalgia, sleep disorders, high blood pressure and many more. A doctor's note is required for all medical conditions for the safety of the client.

How often should I get a sports massage?

We recommend having 1 sports massage every 3 - 6 weeks to help prevent muscle tightening which will help improve your performance whilst reducing your risk of injury and muscular fatigue. We do, however, work with clients on a weekly and fortnightly basis which is beneficial to their sport.
